Lodi prides itself on its three city parks, nine-hole golf course, public swimming pool, absence of parking meters on its streets, and most of all, on Susie the Duck, the mallard (or her successor) who has made her home since 1948 in the masonry nest built especially for her and her flock at the Main Street bridge. Susie and her flock provide delightful entertainment for the visitor. Just outside of Lodi take in the view at Gibraltar Rock a sandstone bluff near the Wisconsin River that rises 400 feet above Lake Wisconsin to the North.
Poynette [10 minutes]
Birthplace of Curling-USA. The Club was chartered in 1875 and Bon Spiels are still held today. Also, home of an annual Winter Championship Softball Tournament. The city is located 1 mile west of the MacKenzie Environmental Center, which is located a nationally recognized display of Wisconsin birds, animals and trees. Tours are available.
Merrimac & Okee [15 minutes]
The Merrimac Ferry, which crosses the Wisconsin River between Sauk and Columbia counties, is Wisconsin's only free ferry. It shuttles WIS HWY 113 traffic between Okee on the east bank and Merrimac on the west. Enjoy downhill skiing and snowboarding, your only minutes away from Devil's Head nestled in the glacier-formed bluffs, of South Central Wisconsin.
Sauk Prairie [20 minutes]
Sauk City-Prairie du Sac. Site of the Wisconsin Power & Light Company dam, where anglers enjoy excellent fishing year round. The city is located in a river valley, the east side of which is flanked by awe-inspiring "palisades" - over which eagles soar! Just across from Prairie du Sac, the Wollersheim Winery sits on a scenic hillside overlooking the Wisconsin River. This national historic site was first selected for vineyards in the 1840's.
Portage [20 minutes]
Site of the Portage canal, which separates the headwaters of the Fox, which flow eastward into the Atlantic from those of the "Mighty Wisconsin" which are destined for the Gulf of Mexico. Bulwarks of early Wisconsin heritage, such as the Surgeon's Quarters Garrison School and the Indian Agency House are all finely restored. Tours are available.
Wisconsin Dells [30 minutes]

Baraboo [30 minutes]
Home of the Circus World Museum, located in the Ringling Bros. original winter quarters complex.
